Sun beetle larvae are for the slightly larger insect-eating animals. Try them for, for example, water lizards, bearded dragons, monitor lizards and other medium to large species of reptiles and amphibians. If you keep monitor lizards, Sun beetles are really good, as the larvae burrow, which activates the monitor lizards' hunting instinct and they will spend hours looking for and digging for the sun beetles, it is fun to observe, and since monitor lizards are quite intelligent, it is especially important to keep them busy. Sun beetle larvae are also eaten by larger tarantulas and scorpions.
